WHAT ARE SMALL GROUPS?

Small Groups are the heart of a church. They are the time we gather together with friends and learn and grow together in relationships and faith. You will typically meet once a week and dive into the Bible or a Bible study. Here you can ask questions and learn in a more intimate setting about God's teachings. We encourage everyone to join a Bible study to connect with an even closer community within our church at St. James.

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?

The first step is to decide what study you would like to be a part of. You can join a Bible study by contacting the leaders of the study, or by connecting with our office to learn about the studies. 

WHAT SMALL GROUPS ARE OFFERED?

Ladies Friday Morning Bible Study

The Ladies Friday Morning Bible Study meets in the Rose Room of the Koinonia Centre at 9:30 am. We are currently studying "Life-Changing Prayer" by Jim Cymbala. For more information talk to Catherine Isaac- Jamieson or Margie Archibald.

Men's Bible Study

The Friday morning Men’s Bible Study is currently led by Don Reid and meets at 7:30 am in the Rose Room at the Koinonia Center. Following study the majority of the group meet at Fletcher’s for breakfast and a time of fellowship. Our current format is to select a book of the Bible each week and read it through the week. We have a questionnaire of 7 questions to answer and we discuss the answers as a group on Friday morning. For more information speak to John Archibald.

GROW

GROW (God Reaching Our World) is a weekly bible study that meets on Friday afternoons at 2pm. We start the afternoon with a fellowship time. The format for the study is a short reading and scripture verses followed by discussion questions. For more information contact Carol Morrison.

Sunday Night Bible Study

Bible Lesson

We meet each Sunday evening at 7pm at the home of the host member for that week. We start each evening with a social time before the lesson/discussion and finish with coffee/tea and dessert. For more information contact Carol Morrison.

We're a happy group of ladies who meet together on the first Thursday of each month. We do caterings and hold luncheons. Our group also helps to support our outreach ministries in our community and the world. We take time to meet and pray and discuss the ministries we currently support and the ones we hope to be a part of in the future. All are welcome to attend.
